All You Need to Know About Coachella 2019 Line-up, and our top picks

28.03.2019

What you need to know about Coachella 2019 line-up has probably been written already in the pages of D360 about all of the emerging talents and music personalities we have had our radar on for the past year or so. From the big names of the international music scene to the rising stars of pop-electro, here’s everything and everyone you need to know about from who will step on one of the stages at Indio this year.

Coachella 2019 headliners

Ariana Grande (Sunday 14th and 21st)

She has had the toughest time and being the main headliner of Coachella 2019 line-up is what she deserves and something that has been defined as the ‘beginning of the best of her career’. After the big hit she scored in 2018 with ‘Thank U Next’, which broke several records in terms of YouTube views and chart topping, Coachella 2019 looks like the most logical continuation for her stellar career. And it’s just the beginning.

She will be Coachella’s youngest headliner ever.

Tame Impala (Saturday 13th and 20th)

Things that make us laugh: headlines such as ‘WTF are Tame Impala Coachella 2019 headliners’. Kevin Parker is the man behind Tame Impala, and yes, there’s no band at all, it’s just him. He is Australian, from Perth, and his music is something of a psychedelic rock sound. And yes, to most, Tame Impala are the biggest surprise out of Coachella 2019 line-up.

Fridays’ top picks

Janelle Monae, Diplo, DJ Snake, Jaden Smith (read more about him here), King Princess (read more about her here) are some of the the artists we would pick to watch amongst those performing on the back-to-back formula of Coachella on a Friday. Polo&Pan have landed a spot in this list for the first time and we are sure they will want to turn Indio into La Camargue, and their plage isolee. Also resident Ross From Friends, who will be soon answering our questions on his music.

Art installations

Coachella is also the place where to experience art differently, whether in the shape of the multi-layered lightings or the incredible stage coregraphies, but it is also where interactive installations play a big part in the overall outcome of the festival. Here’s what’s coming for Coachella 2019’s art.

Francis Kéré
