Better Call Saul's plot
Saul Goodman isn’t entirely a new character in the world of Netflix TV Series: if you have been binging in Breaking Bad, chances are you are already familiar with this ‘small-time lawyer’: Better Call Saul is in fact a spin off of the series that featured the famous teacher who turned to drug dealing (and making) to make enough money to provide for his family.
The series takes place six years before the events that happen to Walter White: Goodman’s name is Jimmy McGill and he’s trying to pursue a career as a lawyer in Albuquerque, but he struggles to find a way for himself in his brother’s shadow in the same firm. But instead of becoming an acclaimed lawyer, he becomes the lawyer of Mike Ehrmantraut, a former cop who allows him to enter the complicated net of drug trafficking in Albuquerque.
Why should you (or shouldn’t) watch Better Call Saul?
Bob Odenkirk’s performance has received a very positive response so much so that Better Call Saul is considered better than its predecessor Breaking Bad. Not just that, Better Call Saul has also been named one of the best prequels in TV series history. Watching this TV series is for you whether you have or haven’t watched Breaking bad of course, we suggest watching Better Call Saul after you have already familiarised with his mischievous law practice.
The only down side of this is that out of all the characters featured in Breaking Bad, Saul Goodman isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, although he plays a very influential role in the overall plot of the show.
The real question fans of both shows have started to be asking is if the two show will ever intersect. With season 5 coming out in 2019, rumours are the Jimmy, already turned Saul Goodman, but it seems it will be Saul’s relationship with Kim Wexler, whether or not she will be sticking with him or not while more of the Saul comes out
Did you know that Bob Odenkirk has got a Better Call Saul tattoo where the sun don’t shine? It’s impossible you did not know this as he has recently flashed it on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. The audience loved it, but please if you do love the show, stay away from tattoos for a while!
