Eminem is killing it with his brand new album Kamikaze

31.08.2018

13 songs over the space of 45 minutes, this the surprise the Rap God has had in store for the past months and has just ‘dropped’.

What can you expect from Kamikaze? Let’s kick off from the features: Joyner Lucas, Eminem’s manager Paul Rosenberg, Royce Da 5’9″ and Canadian Jessie Reyez.

The bombshell is this though: whether yesterday (Thursday) just a few hours before the release Eminem posted a teaser video of Venom which had fans speculating on how ‘self-cantered’ the best rapper of all times is for advertising something on his social media only ‘because he is in it’ – why else would you social media for? – we might start a countdown on the release of the movie.

It is finally happening: all the ‘things we like’ are happening at once. Tom Hardy, Riz Ahmed and Eminem all in the same place.

Kamikaze is produced by Dr. Dre and Marshall Mathers and comes as 2017’s Revival follow up. The artwork recalls Beastie Boys ‘80s cover for the hit Licensed to Kill, but if you want to flavour it before the first play, check out what Eminem has been tweeting about it.

Whether on Apple Music you can read his tease:

“Shady punches back, and he’s naming names.”

Produced by Dr. Dre and Marshall Mathers (aka Slim Shady), Kamikaze (Aftermath/Shady Records/Interscope Records) is Eminem’s 10th studio set and the follow-up to 2017’s Revival, which hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

We have been amongst the 80.000 people who witnessed Eminem’s first – and maybe only – ever gig he did in Italy back in July at the Expo Area and this new release comes as the confirmation that what the man can do is endless.
