Next must-have accessories: how men’s harnesses and lanyards are set to be new eye-catchers

20.03.2019

Accessories are much more than finishing touches to any outfit; fashion has turned them into cults, into those items selling out in minutes after the reach the online world and crashing labels’ ecommerce websites. They are the manifesto of a brand, the pieces that can create looks. They are the protagonists and as such, they deserve all our attention, and your too.

From everyday pieces to more extravagant statement accessories, here’s what you shouldn’t miss out on on the pieces defining the looks to master next.

Statement jewelry

Let’s kick off with a bit of opulence. It’s in the shape of antique silver jewelry, which can be chunky whilst showcasing the most intricate embroidery. All SS19 by Alexander McQueen wants us to register is about statement jewelry, but also small handbags like the four-ring clutch.

Men’s harnesses

When Virgil Abloh comes out with anything this days, everyone follows. And that’s why the men’s harness is set to be one of those accessories the celebs will embrace, and some of them already have.

Micro-Microbags

Jacquemus hasn’t started today with suggesting the world should be a place where we could all walk freely, being able to carry around with us pretty much anything at all. Solange Knowles eye accessory

With the release of the new album Solange Knowles has introduced more than music to the world. It’s her eye piece that had us very much intrigued; a sort solid rendition of a gold eyeshadow, the avant-garde accessory won’t be seen on the streets, but it may spark a wave of creativity put into this type of face ornaments.

Spikes

Now, this is where it gets tricky. Spikes. Alessandro Michele’s filled the runway of the latest show presented in Milan in February with spikes. And that’s now how you will probably see spikes in ‘your wardrobes’. Vetements’ collab with Oakley though touches the cords of modern streetwear; their sport masks have studs and we can’t decide if you’d look more threatening if you wore them in training or when sip your Martini.
