OK guys, the time has come for us to dwell into one of that is starting to pick up and make its way through rap, hip-hop and dance. To give you an idea of what and who we are going to talk about, these names should ring some bells: Waka Flocka Flame, Gucci Mane, Young Jeezy, Three 6 Mafia and Manny Fresh.

If you are still not sure here are trap music traits explained in a nutshell:

  • 1/3 hip hop, where the tempo and song structure are basically the same, 70-100 bpm tracks. Pitched down vocals
  • 1/3 dance Music
  • 1/3 dub, a reggae subgenre.

Skrillex - First of the Year

Liger, Young Thug, Carnage

We have already given you the best songs by Young Thug as a solo artist, but amongst his collaborations, this one with Cranage enters the trap songs chart by default. In this song he states how different he is from the rappers out there, and we couldn’t agree more.

Cara Italia - Ghali

A descriptive trap song by a made in Italy rapper who has been climbing the online charts like a ninja in the last year, since his debut album in 2017. From a Tunisian family, he lives in Baggio, a suburb area in Milan.

No pressure – French Montana

One of the characteristics of trap music is auto tune and Montana gives a great example of it on No pressure together with Future: the duo has been working together in many other trap songs such as “Karate Chop,” “Rich Friday,” and the remix of “Bugatti.”

Bust Down- Trippie Redd

Not the emotional kind of ode as in other traps songs from Trippie Redd such as of Love Scars:

Original Don (flosstradamus remix)- Major Lazer

The Flosstradamus remix for Original Don is a single released by Major Lazer, an American electronic dance music trio, on 1 January 2012. Their club-ready dance tune is full of various speeds of trap rolls as well as the vocals and synths from the original song.

4 am - 2 Chainz ft. Travis Scott

No Handz (CRNKN Remix) - Waka Flocka Flame

No Handz (CRNKN Remix) was created and uploaded on the Trap City YouTube channel on December 25th, 2012, while the original single is found on Waka Flocka Flame’s debut album, Flockaveli. You can not be a trap fan and not love this song.

i Shyne- DJ Carnage & Lil Pump

If you are looking for the best trap songs that are guaranteed club bangers, then you can’t miss DJ Carnage I Shyne, featuring 18-year-old rapper Lil Pump. The trap song is carnage of raw, effortless energy. We are definitely looking forward to future collaborations from the duo.

24's- T. I

Old but never forgotten, T.I’s 2003 24’s is the lead single from his second studio album Trap Muzik, and as one of the pioneer trap songs, it will always be one of the best trap songs. 24’s was also featured on EA’s racing game Need for Speed: Underground.

Rockstar - Post Malone & 21 Savage

The audio for Post Malone’s Rockstar featuring 21 Savage is so dope and definitely falls into the category of best trap songs. The original trap song is slow and masterfully produced. We will add though, that the official video of this song is NOT for the faint-hearted.
